Chapter 11 & 12

Three concepts to reflect on: 1) Assessments: there are three different assessment type new teacher assessment which is the assessment that the supervisor gives the new an assessment on the work that they are doing. The student assessment which is the one that the teacher gives the student to see how the students are learning and to see if you are effectively teaching the information that is needing to get across to the students. Student self-assessment this shows how well the student is participating in the assessment process. 2)Online surveys for preassessments: this is something that occurs before introducing a new lesson or topic. This is to tell us if there is prior knowledge-based learning. 3)Automate or informate, automate is when technology recreates something that already exists. While informate happens when technology changes something fundamentally redesigns it and refines it. In conclusion everything is always be assessed and trying to be made better so that we can keep up. Supervisors are now using technology to use software to document the assessment that they are doing. All in all technology is always growing and we have to stay up with it to make our teaching better.

  1. Like your ToonDoo as it expresses your understanding of the concepts in a quick and easy way - would have liked to read your personal reflection on those concepts as that is the focus of the blog writing - synthesizing what you have read/learned with your own personal twist. :)
